  • Valley Lodges - The area is suitable both for relaxed or energetic holidays with many sporting opportunities available.
    Honicombe Manor Holiday Village is set in the beautiful wooded Tamar Valley on the Cornwall/Devon border. It lies within easy reach of historic Plymouth, the ancient market town of Tavistock, the gloriously wild open spaces of Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor and the wonderful beaches and coastline of North and South Cornwall.

    These two attractive and comfortable alpine style lodges are privately owned and situated next door to each other. No. 10 is the centre property and No. 11 the closest in the photo shown.

    At ground level are a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and two twin bedrooms with separate shower room/toilet. On the first floor are the kitchen, dining area, a spacious lounge with twin sofas (one convertible to a double bed) and a timbered south facing balcony.

    The area is suitable both for relaxed or energetic holidays with many sporting opportunities available.

    Accommodation:

    A spacious lounge with twin sofas (one convertible), a dining area and kitchen are on the first floor, with a large south facing sun deck to take advantage of the views. There is a ground floor patio area with access from the main bedroom by double doors and garden furniture provided.

    The kitchen is fully equipped with electric hob and cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, refrigerator and ironing facilities. The dining area has seating for 8.

    Cots and high chairs are available at £10 per week each
    Pets welcome at £20 per week each (max 2)
    Storage heater with off peak electricity included, except 12 Jun-11 Sep.
    All other electricity and heating by coin meter
    Bed linen included, but not towels
    Arrival after 4 p.m. Departure before 10 a.m.

    North/South Coasts of Cornwall & Devon approx 12 miles with access to Fishing, Sailing, Surfing, Swimming, Wind-surfing, Diving, Water-skiing and all water sports.

    Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor, both approx 12 miles for Walking, Cycling, Mountain biking, Horse riding or just enjoying the views

    Golf at St. Mellion is just 4 miles and a little further away - Trethorne Golf Club at Launceston and Hurdwicke Golf Club at Tavistock

    Other Local Area information:

    For the less energetic and more culturally minded, there are several superb National Trust properties in the area including Cotehele just 1 mile distant, also many ancient monuments and standing stones.

    For the gardening and conservation enthusiast the Eden Project is approx 30 miles and the Lost Gardens of Heligan and many other beautiful gardens and garden centres are within easy reach.

    Railway buffs will enjoy the 14 mile Tamar Valley line with a station 1 mile distant at Gunnislake. Enjoy a trip to Plymouth alongside the magnificent River Tamar and over the Calstock viaduct and Brunel's famous bridge. If you want to explore further afield the Tamar line joins the main Penzance to Exeter line at Plymouth.

    For those who wish to eat out, there are many attractive public houses and tea rooms to choose from in the area.
